Our Story - Cannon Point Motors (2014)

At Cannon Point Motors, we're more than just a workshop—we're part of the community.

Founded in 1988 by business partners Bob Holmes and Bruce Gibbs, the business has grown over the years, earning the trust and loyalty of locals. Sadly, in late 2013, Bob passed away, leaving behind a legacy of honesty, reliability, and exceptional service.

In 2014, we took the opportunity to carry on his vision—ensuring that the community continues to receive the same dependable service they’ve come to expect. We're committed to improving our workshop facilities and delivering a top-notch customer experience every time you visit.

In 2023 After listening to our Upper Hutt community, we opened a new AA Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency in Upper Hutt!

Located at Cannon Point Motors, 68 Montgomery Crescent, customers can visit the Agency for all their driver and vehicle licensing requirements, including theory tests for learners, license renewals and International Driving Permits (IDPs).

In addition, customers can also access IRD personal number applications, RealMe services and join the AA or renew their AA Membership at the Agency.

We're looking forward to welcoming the Upper Hutt community to the Agency!
